We know the admissions process can be intimidating. We know what it is like to go through this cycle alone and without support. This is why we founded Truth North. Our goal is to make this process simpler and more comfortable. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our applicants admitted to their dream school and we have a straightforward formula for success. First, that every applicant has something special to offer and that the key is to accentuate those traits in an application. Second, that our True North experts establish a friendly and trusting relationship with our applicants based on the principles of availability, speed, and accuracy.
True North is built on personal and professional experience. John and Andrew are college friends that dreamed of careers in the law. John went to law school a year before Andrew and used what he learned from his experience to aid Andrew. Andrew, recognizing the benefit of that experience, worked in his law school’s admissions office as well as spending nights working with a national law admissions company. Together, they worked with hundreds of applicants to navigate the opaque world of law school admissions. After years of working with applicants, they decided to establish True North based on their vision of a tailored and client-focused experience for their applicants.
Meet the Team
Andrew Sayer
Andrew has worked with 100+ applicants and his clients have been accepted into each of the top 50 law schools, as well as many others . He has a Bachelor’s degree from Providence College, a Master’s from Brown University, and J.D. from University of Notre Dame. During law school, Andrew was a member of a law journal and moot court team. He also worked in Notre Dame Law School’s Admissions Office, as a program ambassador, and became fascinated with the law school admissions process after seeing how it worked from the inside.
John Travers
John Travers is an attorney licensed in the District of Columbia with extensive experience in professional writing and admissions. John attended Providence College and later earned a law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. During law school, he competed in two moot court competitions and published an article with the school’s international law journal. He began his career as a legislative attorney on Capitol Hill and in Annapolis, Maryland. He left legislative law to litigate on behalf of the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
